Boîtes de la paix

Montreal, Quebec

Guided by the upcycling design movement and influenced by the ready-made, Marcel Duchamp, minimalist art, as well as the Arte povera, multidisciplinary artists Bruno Chouinard and Anne Lapierre reinvent pine-wood cartridge boxes from the Vietnam war era. Since the start of the 2000s, their artistic project has experienced great success in North America and Europe and has become part of museum collections at The Peace Museum of Chicago and The Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. Today, the two designers continue to turn these unique boxes into artistic objects that make an impression in our decors.
