Prior to founding AND, Amanda Popkin and Danielle Tuchelt pursued similar careers in graphic design for 20 years. Feeling the need for more personal contact with materials, they decided to combine their talents to bring their art into a new light.

The Crescent lamp embodies this reconnection, which is their personal and artistic dream come true. The lamp showcases the natural beauty of the clay from the Canadian Prairies and one-of-a-kind sculptural design. Its upside-down lampshade features a warmly textured finish created with brushstrokes of hand-painted slip, illustrating the balance between form and function, and day and night.
