Ceramist Ariane Boudreault-Lambert believes ceramic has its own personality. Like its shaper, it creates connections-dialogues that should be cherished and nurtured. It's this constant back-and-forth between man and material that the artist delivers in her creative process. To decorate this plant pot, she used the ancient Korean method known as mishima, painstakingly inlaying contrasting slip into fine incisions in the unfired clay. The resulting patterns are textured and rich, as unique as a print.
