 Cotton is a natural fibre that absorbs more than others, which is why towels are almost always made of pure cotton. Sometimes, it's blended with other fibres to give the towel a different texture.

The Thickness

 The unit of measurement for the thickness of a towel is grams per square metre (GSM). At Simons, we offer a wide range of towels to meet your needs: the lightest weigh 400 GSM, while the heaviest can weigh up to 800 GSM. A fluffy towel will certainly be cozy, but it will take up more space in the washer and also take longer to dry.

Care Tips

Some helpful advice to prolong the life and look of your towels.

The First Few Washes

 Wash your towels before you use them for the first time. To help set the colours, you can dilute a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the water during the first few washes.

Regular Washing

 Always wash in lukewarm water without adding bleach or fabric softener.

Drying

 Tumble-dry at low temperatures in order to keep them from shrinking and maximize suppleness.

Colours

 Bright and dark colours should be washed separately until the excess lint disappears. Certain colours may continue to bleed after several washes.

Lint

 It is normal for your high-quality towels to pill. This phenomenon generally decreases after a dozen or so washes.
